INTERNATIONAL PRESS ROOM · POPLÉA

An artist without a face. Artworks that change with your point of view.

In one year under the name Popléa, more than 300 works have been sold directly. The anonymous French artist now brings her command of kinetic relief to a project where artistic ambition and access to art move together.

300+

More than 300 direct sales in one year.

Popléa grew without waiting for traditional channels: direct encounters with the public, original handmade works and international distribution. Supporting evidence for this figure can be shown confidentially to journalists.

The viewer sets the artwork in motion.

From the left, front and right, several images appear. There is no motor and no screen: visual fragments are assembled on relief blades, and the viewer’s movement recomposes the work. The research belongs to the legacy of kinetic art, including Yaacov Agam, while developing a personal language of collage and popular culture.

Art for Everyone

The studio may occasionally give an original artwork to an art lover who cannot currently afford to buy one. Applications are reviewed personally and confidentially, depending on available works. No fee, purchase or public disclosure of personal circumstances is required.

This is not a competition, a promotional operation or a lower-value collection. Gifted works carry the same signature and meet the same standards as those intended for collectors.

Anonymity as freedom.

Popléa does not reveal her civil identity. This choice allows the body of work to be judged on its own and lets the artwork speak before the name. Written interviews can be arranged while preserving that anonymity.
