Behind Popléa is an established artist whose work, created under another identity in a far more academic register, is already held in museum collections.
Popléa is nevertheless a genuine new beginning: another signature, another visual language and a new way of meeting the public. The artist preserves her identity so that this body of work can be judged on its own, independently of her previous career and recognition.
Her ambition is to democratise contemporary art and make it immediately legible, vivid and accessible to a wider audience. She combines images from popular culture with the spectacular language of kinetic art: several visions appear as the viewer moves, without a motor or screen.
As with Banksy, anonymity is part of the project. It nurtures the mystery, but above all protects the freedom to begin again differently and let the work speak before the name.
The artist is already recognised.

THE CERTIFICATE
One artwork.
One authentic record.
Every piece is signed Popléa and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It identifies the artwork, its dimensions, year and edition number where applicable, and bears the artist’s signature.
The certificate guarantees the work’s traceability without breaking the mystery. You own an authentic piece; the artist’s civil identity remains deliberately absent.

AUTHENTICITY · PROVENANCE · BITCOIN
The Popléa
Registry.
Every acquisition creates a verifiable record linking the physical artwork, its signed certificate and a cryptographic timestamp anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain.
The record proves that the certified information existed at a given date and has not been altered. The artist’s signature, artwork number and matching QR code establish the connection with the physical piece.
Bitcoin timestamp
A cryptographic fingerprint of the certificate is timestamped free of charge using the open OpenTimestamps standard.
Verifiable provenance
The collector receives the certificate, its proof file and a QR code. A new dated record documents every subsequent transfer.
Confidential by design. No collector name or purchase price is written publicly on the blockchain. Only the cryptographic fingerprint needed for verification is anchored.

Popléa refuses to choose between the prestige of major collections and access for all. The same signature, the same standards and the same original works must be able to enter both.
No discount line. No lesser artwork.
Because passion is not measured by a budget, the studio occasionally gifts an original Popléa artwork to someone who loves art but cannot currently afford to acquire one.
No contest and no public display of personal circumstances. Tell the studio, simply and in confidence, about your relationship with art, the work that moves you, and what its presence would mean to you.
Applications are reviewed personally by the studio. Attribution depends on the artworks available and does not constitute an automatic entitlement. No fee or purchase is required to apply. Practical delivery arrangements are confirmed with the selected recipient.

The artwork changes.
So does your gaze.
A work by Popléa never delivers a single image. From the left, front and right, three distinct visions appear in succession.
The relief blades carry alternating visual fragments. Nothing moves within the picture: the viewer’s movement recomposes the image and activates the work.
THE MASTER’S LEGACY
Yaacov Agam
A pioneer and leading figure of kinetic art, Yaacov Agam made the viewer’s movement part of the artwork. Popléa places her exploration within this legacy and translates it into a personal language of collage, popular icons and reliefs assembled entirely by hand.

Popléa brings together two worlds that the art market usually keeps apart: major collectors seeking singular works, and passionate people who cannot afford to buy art but may receive an original artwork.
This radical position is inseparable from her artistic project: democratise kinetic art without lowering its standards, its rarity or its ambition. Biography, manifesto, artwork photography and kinetic demonstrations are available to journalists. Interview requests are considered while preserving the artist’s anonymity.
